One of the biggest things about having a website, is the website promotion that you incorporate into your site. You can have the most expensive design, the best products around; but if no one knows you exist you will never have any sales! Sure, there might be those one or two people that accidentally fall on your page. But one or two sales? Isn't really anything to boast about or get excited about. Now 200 or three hundred? That is something to be proud of.

But how do you go about website traffic? Is it easy? Does it cost a lot? Can someone do all the hard work for you, so you can reap all the benefits? Well first and foremost, getting traffic isn't the easiest thing in the world. But if you find a professional that knows about online advertising or online marketing, you can double your chance at getting the sales you really want and need to get. These professionals are people that specialize in traffic building techniques such as web design, SEO, SEM, website promotion, article marketing, etc.

These are the people you want to start surrounding yourself with! Depending on which method you use, it can cost a little bit or a lot. It really depends on you, what you can afford and what your train of thought is. For me, it's always been like this; if I have to spend $500 and I make $5,000 back it sure as heck was worth it in the long run. If you absolutely cannot afford a lot of money, there are a few particular "traffic" sources you can take in to hand such as targeted and paid traffic, article marketing, email marketing, backlink methods, and backpage posting services.

Personally, I think a successful site starts at the core which is the design and coding of the site. There is a lot more to a site than just a pretty design and some content slapped on there. There is a whole 'nother side of things. In the coding itself your designer is going to include search features which will help people find you better such as tags, meta tags, titles, etc. You need these things to not only be found by people, but to also be "indexed" by Google. Being indexed by search engines is a MAJOR part of being successful and being found online as well.

When you are indexed by search engines, your SERPs or Search Engine Results Pages are raised. For example, say you sell coffee mugs and one of your keywords is "buy coffee mugs online". If you go to the search engines and look for that specific keyword you might find yourself on page 33, but you find ALL these competitors in front of you! Why!?! Because they have better SERPs then you, they work on their traffic, they have a designer that has positioned their website coding correctly, they have backlinks both visually and un-visually! In the end, I would really suggest finding a professional to do ALL the work for you.

Even if you hire a designer for the site and coding, a writer for article marketing, and you find a site that offers targeted web traffic and or posting services - you might end up spending a few hundred, but you also have a better chance to make it and become successful. Now you can spend time on networking with people and working on your site content. Heck, even if you can't write at all you can hire a writer to write ALL your content for you on your site.

Then, you can just focus on finding people that might be interested in your products, looking online for re-sellers, maybe you can start the idea for a blueprint on an affiliate program for your site, etc. In other words; leave the hard work to the professionals. Leave the personal work such as affiliates, re-sellers, and networking to you! This is going to not only BOOM your business, bring traffic to your site, and make you successful, but it's also going to allow you to have time to do more personable things for your business and for yourself. Spend your time wisefully, and outsource where possible!
